Robert S Bennett has been designing traditional private houses since 1980.

A graduate of Princeton University, his first employer was the leading landscape architecture and planning office of Clarke and Rapuano in New York City, where the importance of a harmonious relationship between a house and its surroundings became a lasting hallmark of his work.

Influenced by the great American traditionalists such as John Russell Pope, David Adler, H. T. Lindeberg, William Adams Delano, and Mott Schmidt, his work embraces both the romantic and classical approaches to house design. His work ranges geographically from New Hampshire to Florida and is primarily concentrated in central New Jersey and Bucks County, Pennsvlvania.
